One of the network of 53 MCOT radio stations in Thai provinces, MCOT Radio Phrae FM93MHz is one of the business units of Thailand's media giant MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT; in Thailand's stock market).

For many reasons, Phrae is the gateway to so-called Lanna culture - the unique culture in the North. When you travel from the lower part of Thailand, Phrae is the first place you could hear people speak Thai in Lanna accent and practice their unique way of life.

In the North, the first stop of Thai railway to the northern part of Thailand is at Den-Chai station in Phrae. The road to the rest of eastern part of Thailand's North sets its first milestone in Phrae.

MCOT Radio calls Phrae home for 17 years. MCOT Radio Phrae sets its feet firmly at the gate to the upper North. MCOT Radio Phrae locates the studio in the heart of the town in order to meet business needs, while the transmitter station site is 20 kilometers away from the town on the province's highest mountaintop - almost 500 meters above sea level.

As a result, MCOT Radio Phrae's coverage area, theoretically, includes almost every single square inch of the northern province. MCOT Radio Phrae also delivers clear signal to some areas in  neighboring provinces including Uttaradit, Lamphang, Phayao and Nan.
